It all started with the great-grandfather, who went to the woodworking school for carpentry in Villach - at that time half a world trip from the upper Mölltal.

In the 1970s, Josef Balthasar Pichler founded the Pichler cabinetmaker's workshop in Großkirchheim with his own logo.

Josef Pichler learned carving from his grandfather in his workshop when he was a little boy. The material wood is not just something he was born with, he has been refining it as a master carpenter to the furniture culture of the Hohe Tauern - for over 25 years.
